And today I present one of, what I think is, my best pieces.  This Mass, in some crazy way, balances the old and the new, the simple and the complex, the art and the liturgy.  That’s a bold claim, but it’s a one of those rare moments of clarity where everything just lined up and clicked in place.  In trying to be retrospective about composing, there are pieces that are good and there are pieces that rise above the others.  I’ve always prided myself on being able to write for my church choir music that is simple enough to sing and still has artistic integrity.  It’s not perfectly performed, but I couldn’t be more proud of my small choir for putting the piece together.  Enjoy!
